94 jeep likes trouble

I was recently stuck in a 3 ft mud hole, yet one side of my jeep was grounded. The sunk wheels would spin while the grounded would not move. How can I avoid this from happening. Maybe air lockers?

1) Locker(s) - any kind, really

2) Winch

3) Trail partner(s) with decent rig(s)

4) Shovel, chain, come-along and lots of time

I am going to asume you use your jeep for getting grocerys and taking the young ones to soccer practice.
