600+ Christmas lights on the Jeep this year! Pics

EDIT: SCROLL TO END OF THREAD FOR FINAL PICS!!

Well folks, the time has come again to deck out the Jeep for Christmas.

Last night we got the first 500 lights on and the Deer. Not sure what is next, but we are definitely going to add more as Christmas draws nearer.

Thought I would share.

Sweet. You should "mount" another deer up there behind the other one and enter that in the membership giveaway contest.

OHHHHH man..... you guys just wait and see.

I have an 800 watt inverter on board. so far the 600 lights are only pulling 200watts..... That means I can go nuts!!!!

omfg, that is just hilarious.

i had around 300+ lights on my roof last year, went to the bank and the teller asked me to light them up (didn't think they were legit) she called all the tellers to the window and they all had a chuckle lol.

You really think so??? This is the first time with the deer, but all previous christmas' the lights were there and on, city/freeway. Most police officers pulled up next to me, gave me a giant smile and a thumbs up.

And would it really be a ticket?? I could see them pulling me over and saying I need to turn it down a notch, but what the heck vehicle code covers "Excessive Holiday Spirit"!!!

The only thing I'd worry about is losing the deer at highway speeds. I do the lights up too, and never have any problems with LEO's.. Just look at all the big rigs lit up every year going down the highway..

You should put LEDs on instead, they draw a lot less.

yes, it's technically illigal.
yes, you MIGHT get pulled over.
but the cop would have to be a real scroge (sp?), literally, to give you a ticket for it. tehnically its against the law to have lights like that, especially if they're red and blue.

That being said, especially in the san jose area, i doubt a cop would give you a ticket for it. You could also say 'I know its wrong, officer, but I'm getting ready for a holidat parade and I had to go somewhere."

I forsee that IF you had a problem with the law, the cop would tell you to "Turn it down a notch" or "Turn off the lights"

but to the holiday spirit. And i'm jewish.

which gives me an idea - a Hannuka decoared car
