I've said it before, in Europe they were selling diesel cars, initially, because of the high cost of gas, but now, it's almost the same value! And I'm telling you, if you add the numbers up, at the end of the day, the gas engine is superior ! Cost of maintenance is higher for diesel, initial cost of the car is higher, diesel fuel is now the same price, overall performance of the car is pretty much the same, except maybe for a little higher torque at low revs, oh and gas engines sound good ! So if you ask me you don't need this crap ! You have your cheap gas, so use it !
