Nah he deserves it, especially that starter spot. He stood on his head last season.

agreed, and i have been one of his biggest critics. he did put up stellar numbers all season and didnt fall apart if he gave up a soft goal, he actually got better.

really glad it doesnt hit the cap until next year. that will be an interesting offseason as the hawks have 9 guys that will be free agents by then

The Flyers went around and lubricated and tightened all bolts in the seats today.

Sharks revealed new jerseys, but they look 99% the same as last year's set to me. Maybe a different hue of aqua/teal/blue/grayish???

The bolts don't get tightened in San Jose until next week, but I hear they moved one of the goals around back in the storage area.

John Tavares named Islanders Captain - not a big surprise.

He's one of the elite players that will be solid for years if he stays healthy: Stamkos and Tavares are my top two picks ... Crosby below them; Ovechkin somewhere thereafter.
