WOW! Crazy game between the Leafs and Oilers. Lupul ties it up 5 - 5 with less than 30.0 seconds. Bolland gets the overtime goal on a 3 on 1 for the win. Great game.

I love Oates but he is starting to piss me off and is making some questionable moves aside from the top line, hell even MoJo isn't top line material. I'd rather see Grabovski on 1st line LW and Laich at 2C with Mojo on a 2nd line LW. Would be a much more dangerous first 2 lines, but Oates focuses on Handedness too much, he's weird like that.

He is playing Erat on the FOURTH line, he is a 2nd, MAYBE 3rd line guy that would thrive in one of those positions. He is getting no play time (like 8 mins a game) and it is hurting him and the Caps.

Our defense. His pairings are dumb as **** because he focuses once again on handedness over anything else. So rather than bring up skilled defensemen like Orlov and Kundratek to solidify our back end to replace ****ing Erskine and MAYBE Oleksy, he brings up rookies and leaves Erskine (who is a train wreck on skates) in the lineup. Orlov is a great defenseman and his skills are being wasted in Hershey, just as Erats skills are being wasted on the bench.

Another thing. He has it set up so the Caps let a lot of shots get taken. His belief "I don't care about shots from the point because Holtby or Neuvy usually see them pretty well". That isn't the case. I don't know what games Oates has been watching but Neuvy and Holtz have been getting screened like crazy and when a point shot gets taken it creates either a goal for them or a crazy rebound chance resulting in a goal or a play leading to one.

Okay im done armchair coaching.

Went to the Hurricanes/Coyotes game. Very very sloppy playing on both teams.

Has anyone seen the USHL player get hurt in a fight? Hit his head hard on the ice and dislocate his shoulder. Ended up going in to a two minute seizure before being taken to the hospital. They ended up calling the game midway through the second. It was nasty looking.

thats the exact reason the league wants players to keep the lids on at all times on the ice. i hate the extra penalty, but it makes sense

Yea. I'm not fond of the penalty but if it saves players from injuries then it's worth it

Ha ha ha - I'll be rooting for the Caps; mainly because they're Eastern Conf and not competing with San Jose for standings points.

That and the Oilers come across as a bit arrogant .
