Alex Ovechkin said today that he plans on playing in the KHL all year because he does not see a end to this lockout coming during the season. I hope he is wrong.

Hopefully they stay there in the KHL. I understand they want to play. But they are stealing others jobs for a paycheck.

No they're not. Under lock out conditions I believe KHL teams are permitted an extra 3 roster spots.

They are allowed three extra spots of NHL players over the age of 25. All the players under 25 can play for the minor league affiliate of their team.

Yes there allowed 3 extra players. Meaning someone's playing time will be cut. The KHl wont be rolling 5 lines. So they may be allowed to have an extra 3 people but that doesnt mean there will be an extra line seeing ice time.

Sports Illustrated reported that the NHL is considering replacement players if no agreement is made by Jan 15 2013. There's plenty of players not under contract or still on free agency that could easily fill every teams roster spots.

I'm an islander fan which means I'm a bridgeport sound tiger fan. For the last 4-5 seasons it's pretty much been the same team. Won't make much of a difference if we just move the whole AHL team up!

But seriously speaking about this ridiculous situation. I'm pretty much just going to boycott the season as a fan if this isn't settled in time for the first regular season game. Remember the 41 game season? I feel it's either all or nothing

That sucks, because its the owners not cooperating. We dont watch the NHL for the owners, we watch because of the players. Thats so dumb, because the free agents are still on the players side.

Bettman sucks. The owners suck. Billionaires trying to get richer

The NHL has gained close to 40% in revenue since the last lockout because of the players and then they want the players to take a 30% pay cut??? I know the players make a lot of money but still, I would be mad as fire if my work wanted me to take a pay cut that big. The fans come to see the players play, not to see the owners and Bettman sit in the suites
