It's really both sides. Bettman can go **** himself, and the players need to be thankful they get paid the kind of money they do.

Previously I said I hated the owners. I guess I should have said both. My mistake

Yea I've been siding with the players the whole lockout but after this last sequence of events I lost all respect for both sides. I know a lot of hockey fans, true diehard hockey fans that are saying they are not going to follow NHL anymore whenever they do decide to quick fighting over money.

Bettman said yesterday that there's no chance of a full 82 game season now. Next step will be cancelling the Winter Classic to show the players he means business. I've officially gave up on having a season. I just don't see it happening any more

He acts like taking away the winter classic is like taking away a teenagers cell phone or car. It's not going to work like that. It's down to the fact that if they don't get their money, they aren't going to play.

****ing greedy *****es. I'm starting to lose respect for the NHL as a league. It's all just become a huge fight over money. You're supposed to see that **** in Football and baseball, not hockey.

There is an article is Raleigh's local news paper, News and Observer, stating that Raleigh is estimated to lose appx. 1 million dollars for each Carolina Hurricanes home game that is lost due to the lockout. This includes everyone the works at the games(concession stands, stores, security, parking etc) the bartenders/waitresses and waiters that work the local restaurants and bars and charities that make money from the sport. The NHL(No Hockey League) and their players are the biggest bunch of greedy jerks in sports. They are making MLB and NFL players look like saints.

If Raleigh(small hockey market) is estimated to loose this much money, I could not imagine a large market hockey town(Detroit, New York, Pittsburgh, Boston etc) is going to lose.

Games have now been cancelled through the end of November. Safe for now is the Winter Classic and All Star game, which could be canceled later in Nov.
