2012-2013 NHL Season

I know its still a little ways off but Im so excited for this season. I think my Penguins will have a good year and my hometown Hurricanes are poised for a strong season. I just hope they can agree on a CBA before the 15 and not lock out and delay the season. If they do, maybe I can get the cable company to carry a KHL version of Center Ice.

Same here. I've talked to a few of the people I know with the Hurricanes and they all said they don't think there's going to be a season. Bettman needs to be fired.

For once I actually side with the players. The NHL is as popular as ever and the owners want what a 30% decrease in players salaries? Ridiculous

This is for fighting, this is for fun.

One thing that might help convince the owners not to lock out is that in Qubec and Alberta, the NHLPA is not certified as a union in their province so the Flames, Oilers and Canadiens do not have to lock their players out. So basically their players can have team practices every day while every other team can not. This might make the owners more driven not to lock out their players and give three other teams the advantage of extra team skates and practices.

One can only hope, if not come Saturday night at midnight, they are locked out.
