2011-2012 NHL Season.

Alright guys, a couple games late to be starting this but the season is underway!

Caps and Wings are 4-0. I'm happy right now.

Thread is here to talk about games, upsets, **** talking, anything NHL.

From a couple games ago. Needless to say, Jay Beagle is not a fighter by any means and he was an idiot for fighting.

Saw that clip a few days ago. Asham knocked him out cold with one punch. Me, I'm an Islanders fans. We've been under the radar the past couple years but our youth appears ready to take the next step. We finally have a GM that appears to have been willing to stick with a "rebuild" the past couple years. With DiPietro out with a concussion right now, our situation in goal appears to be locked down too with Montoya and Nabakov.

Went to the Islanders/Rangers game on Saturday night at the Coliseum to see Tavares get a hat trick. 8 points in 2 games, not too shabby. Nabakov also had a good game in goal as well after being out of the NHL for a few years. 3-1-0 at this point. But its still very early in the season.

Caps and Wings are 4-0.

Doesn't matter in October, see where they're at in April...

Oh...I'm gonna guess you're a fan of the flightless birds?

Well the wings make it into the playoffs almost every year. Not worried about them. The caps tho, If they don't keep this up then they can kiss Brucie goodbye. This year they can't **** up as George McPhee has already said that Boudreau is gone if they screw up this season.

Though I'm a believer of, It doesn't matter what you do in the regular season, it's about what you do in the playoffs. Hopefully, they don't screw up and do the famous DC choke.

went to the pens vs. kings pre-season game in Kansas city, it was my wife's first hockey game ever (trying to get her into it) and i hadn't been to a pens game in forever... well needless to say my wife is hooked, it was a perfect first game for her.... solid game through and through, the went into overtime at 3-3, then down to a shoot out and made it through just about the entire team til' the pens pulled through.... finally got her talked into gettin the channels so we can catch the games... definitely excited

Lightning's opening game didn't go so hot to the Panthers. Did well the first period, after that their offense completely sucked and couldn't keep the puck out of their goal.

If the Red wings and Capitals can stay undefeated this week, it's gonna be a crazy *** game on Saturday.
