What rifle is this?

Like the title says, anyone know what this rifle is?
My son in law just got it from his great uncles estate. He said he was in WWII and in Korea I believe also.
Its a .30cal carbine.

Agreed,
The only exception to that is another person got the Uncle's original issued Colt 1911. I would trade for that in a heartbeat.
