Nice drake bufflehead, and is that a Browning A-5 or is that the Remington?

It's actually a Hooded Merganser. Very similar looking, and they eat about the same (not the best)

It's an A-5 from the Lord's year 1900 and 59. Sweet Sixteen, the lightest and smoothest scattergun I own

Good lookin' shorthairs up top. I've always wanted one.

I had an old 1959 A-5 that I sold because it was too finicky. I don't that I have seen one of those hooded mergansers. Shot a few "redhead mergansers" taste awful! I let em' pass now.

One of the guns on my wishlist is an A5 magnum. The mergansers you are referring to are Common/American Mergansers or Red Breasted Mergansers. They are a lot bigger than the hoodeds. The drake hooded mergansers are really nice looking birds, I wouldn't mind having one mounted on my wall some day.

My Jeep dog is a Boykin Spaniel named Molly. Boykins are the South Carolina state dog. She's a good little bird dog, she's a flusher not a pointer. Here's me and her and some quail that didn't fare very well one day:

Here she is sitting in the back yard:

The boykins sure are pretty, my dad has a Springer Spaniel. When we hunt I use my pointer to work the open field and edges of the hedge rows. Then turn the spaniel into the thicketts, she has no trouble pushing the birds out of the nastiest thickett.

As far a Shotguns go I am pretty happy with my Benelli Super Nover (camo). Every auto I have owned has disapointed me. When it comes to ducks and geese I hunt the worst weather possible in saltwater. Not every gun is up to it. I have gone through several cheap guns in a season (seaze up) , and even Remington 870s looks awful after a season of that abuse. But my Benelli is two season in and almost operates/looks new.
I hate tearing a gun down in the terrain I hunt!

GraKee99 that aussie is cute as a button I love sheep dogs! You know if I had my way I would own a kennel. I tried my hand as a dog trainer, but there is no money in that. A few can do it, but it is hard.

Is he a pinata? He has some ups!

If I have to drill out another bolt, I'm just going to start welding parts on.
