Hog Hunting

Well, I took the boy out hunting today. He missed about 20 pigs from about 50 yards away right off the bat. got in 3 shots before they topped a hill and were out of sight.

About an hour later came across another bunch. This time he air one out from about 75 yards. ended up weighing 160 pounds. I'll post some picts soon as they get developed.

My uncle's friend just shot one with a crossbow the other day. The bolt went clean through the hog, and stuck itself into a tree behind the pig.

looks like you have a great hunting spot there.

I will keep that in mind. we shoudl be out of commision for a couple weeks as 3 of the dogs got some minor pokes from the tusks.

he doesn't look too big, about 130-140 pounds, but that boar was full of fight.
