I have the .40 Kel Tec sub 2000. love it love it. They are a bit to get used to as far as comfort, but they can easily take a few hours away from you.

Saw one of those in the shop the other day. Looked like a hell of a lot of fun.

Anyone familiar with this:

http://www.mechtechsys.com/
I'm looking at the base unit and iron sights, not all the tacticool accessories...

I was thinking about either the Sub 2000 or the MechTech CCU for a G17. Anybody handle the latter?

I got lucky on mine I think. They had just ordered 2 of them the same day so I was able to put one on hold.

With the "Mares Leg", did you need a Class 3 license?? I'm trying to figure if it is a short barrel rifle or pistol class.

This is the Rossi (Taurus) Ranch Hand. It's a handgun so nothing special needed.

The gun shop showed me one of those the other day. They are originally manufactured as pistols, not rifles. The "stock" on it isn't long enough to be used from the shoulder, and it's not cut down from a rifle model, so it's a pistol.

They're apparently legal for deer hunting here in Ohio, where rifles are prohibited.

All I know is I WANT ONE!

They can be had on gun broker for around 865 plus shipping, background, and transfer.

My local shops all wanted 995, 1025 and 999, plus 8.1% tax and background. I couldnt come close to the price locally, so i just had it transferred in from a seller on gunbroker.
