probably just a standard civi AR-15. And they do ok with a scope, especially when going after coyotes. I use my Daewoo for that from time to time

i have a 5.56 S&W M&P15 that is pretty much exactly like that (minus the overkill accessories - i just have a red dot sight), that's probably what it is. I have 30 rd mags for mine, though

Your right. its not a sniper rifle. I cant seem to hit targets out past 200yds with the irons, so I picked up a scope. I added the bipod for this last trip and Im sure glad I did. It worked out perfectly for shooting prone. The blm closed the roads for fire season, so it also meant less gear to hike in. I guess that "crap" works out just fine for me.
My buddy has some nice reddots and magnifiers. Although Id like to eventually pick one up, for that amount of money, id rather get a nice bolt gun. cheers

Here's a shot with a couple of more Colts I picked up recently. The ones in the middle are new to me. One is a polished 4" King Cobra to go with the 6" that I have had for 20 years. The other is a 1974 Python in Royal Blue.

Technically not a gun pic but a pictures of the group from my X-Bolt 30-06 shooting 165 grain Speer SPBT over 49 grains of IMR4064. Best groups I've shot yet.

7.62 Tokarev (7.62x25), not 7.62x39.
9 mm, .357 auto, 7.62 Tokarev

I'm just getting into this sort of thing... Father in law is going to stop by this week and let me pick out one of his shotguns to keep at the house "just in case". Was looking at possibly buying a rem 870. What is everyones thoughts on that model for home defense? Seems to be a pretty popular choice.
Also for rifles, guys that have the old M1s, how do you like them? How much did you have to pay for one? I've always thought those were bad-a and would love to own one.
