Got my 8 point Just got back. Shot a Doe Friday night(gut shot) never found her. 2 of us looked for about three hours until it was dark, make that pitch black. Got back to camp and then headed to Mexico for a little drinking Shot the 8 point on Sat during the afternoon hunt, waited a couple of hours to start looking. Couldn't find any blood, but I followed a good trail for about 1/4 mile. Finally found him laid out under a mesquite tree, double lung shot. Shot with a 270. Couldn't believe how far it ran.

Good Job! It always pains me when I lose an animal. Have lost 3 deer and 1 elk in my 35 years of hunting. Still remember like yesterday.

More stories?
