Deer Hunting

Whos getting excited for the upcoming deer season. Up here in Maine its still a couple months away(end of oct, first of nov) unless you bow hunt then its only a month away. Hoping to have a good season hopefully it will be a cold november. We'll see the best part is you never know. Hoping to end my antler drought of a couple years.

Here in NJ our archery season starts on September 8th. I will not be going out till later in the month. Have to wait for it to get colder.

I am also taking this year off of hunting in Maine. I will be back up next year though. I hunt the week before Thanksgiving. We hunt North of Shin Pond, next to the Oxbow.

Here in Oregon, archery started today. I've worked 30 days straight so that I can take 3 weeks off starting August 30th. Elk and deer for me. A monster bull is going down this year!

been shooting the bow 3 days a week after work. We have set up a bow range out to 60 yards at the office and we have 4 3-D targets with a lean to stand to shoot from. It helps that the owner is a big time hunter and 4 others besides my self are big time hunters.

We are also going to the rifle range 2 days a week to shoot rifles and sporting clays. I have the fever. Going to New Mexico for the opening of antelope 9/14 and hunt the 15th and 16th. Come on, hurry up and get here.
