camping tent trailer
i originally posted this in the picture section...why, i'm not sure, but figured i'd throw it in a mor appropriate section. so i know quite a few people are looking for light camping trailers to run behind their jeeps, and ran across a pretty versatile camper tent trailer. it's not cheap, but again, very versatile.
www.sylvansport.com/it.html hope this helps some people.

Nice trailer, but their are two issues some may have with it as many jeep owners are looking for an offroad trailer. The ground clearance is too low and the hitch would be a problem offroad.

Actually, I'm thinking the same reasons why that trailer is not good for off-road adventure. Also, its tires could be also a problem in handling rough terrain.

For the cost you could buy another jeep.

There is a video on YouTube of a TJ pulling a Chaser off-road trailer on a rough trail (rocks and all), but I don't think I would want to bother with that, as I'd rather leave a trailer at a campground, or along a decent trail or dirt road in a national forest. So I don't know that not being off-road worthy would be an issue for myself?
However I like the design better of the Quicksilver 6.0, which I'm probably going to get next Spring. It's about 600 lbs. unloaded and has some nice options, like brakes which I'd want for using my TJ to pull it. Here are more photos of the Quicksilver: http://www.theoutpostrv.com/dealerfiles/ListingView.asp?ListingID=184 |
