I ended up buying a XC bike (GT Avalanche 2.0) a couple of months back and am ready to get rid of it. I need to get some sort of all-around dirt-jumping type bike instead, as XC is boring as hell to me.

Rocking an 09' Trek 3700, other than tires, pedals, and lights its stock. Trying to put another 1000mi on it before I upgrade.

Sounds like you need a 29er. Id love a good 29er but they are way to damn expensive for my government salaried broke ***.

Love it! Great balance and very nimble... they got the geometry right on that bike. Now that I've ridden a 29er I'll never go back to 26".

Anyone know of a bike rack that attaches to jeeps spares? Like big spares?

I have a yakima bike rack that mounts over the exposed rear spare tire. It fit over my 33x12.5's. It was a tight fit but got the job done. Look around local bike shops or craigslist and test fit them, otherwise look into a trailer hitch mount.

try a hitch rack... this is the best and easiest to use rack I've ever come across.
it's also one of the few that extend out far enough to be beyond my spare.

Looking for a spare mount only. Hitch option won't become a reality until I build a bumper with one.

My new/used Niner Jet-9... just picked it up from the Fedex depot last night and put it together.
I bought it from a small bike shop in Sedona.

Haha great sticker.

I hope to dust off my Trek (sl 1000) and get back to riding soon. I'd love a new bike or get better components, but got a baby due in a few days so it is on hold.

Yakima spare time. Works well, but make sure your spare mount is up to the extra weight.
