AR Build

Well- not so much a build. More like a customization of an existing factory rifle. I think I'm going to do a full build from the ground up for my next project. Maybe start with a Spikes lower and go from there. Have any recommendations?

Little video I threw together from this project-

I know this is an OLD thread, but if you haven't already done anything, check out Aero Precision. I built an AR pistol (waiting on my SBR tax stamp) using their upper and nickel boron BCG. I bought the 7" barrel through them as well but I honestly forget who makes it.

Here's a shot of it with a supressor on it.

I just finished my ar budget build.
I used a Dpms lower, anderson upper, apoc nitride bcg and extended charging handle, 16" barrel from bear creek with 1:7 twist, mid length gas impingement system, steel lowpro gasblock, 12" keymod handgaurd, magpul moe sl stock/grip , magpul mbus front and rear, and an afg2 foregrip. I had a cheap reddot but i removed it cause it died after 20rnds it wouldn't hold zero.

I have, if you have a drill press and a trim router it isn't to bad. I bought one of the router jigs, works great. I'd never bother trying to dremel one out though.

Sweet! Did you get the solar one? I'm torn between the Holosun and the Primary Arms Microdot. A friend of mine has the PA Micro Dot and said he's left the sight on for over a year and hasn't replaced the batteries yet or noticed the sight dim at all! They claim it has a 50k hour battery life!!
50,000 / 24hrs = 2,083 days 8 hours
2,083 / 365days = 5.7 years

That's an impressive boast by any standard!
