I'd like to get a can for my .22, but just don't have the money for it yet.

I also don't have the money to waste ammo on full auto... unless it was a .22.

Saving up to do an NFA trust at the moment. Sadly, here in CA all we can really have are AOW's, but that's ok. There's an 870 Serbu Super-Shorty in my future

At least they're only a $5 stamp instead of $200!!

A Trust is in my future. Followed by at least 4 cans: .45, 9mm, .22, & .308.

Of course the gun budget has to compete with the jeep budget.

I've had my trust set up for a year or two now. I just recently purchased two AR lowers and one of them is going to be a nice SPR with a can.

I'd also like to have one for my .22 as well but I'm not going to worry about that until after I get the one for the AR.

I've got a cans for my AR , 22/250, and just Friday started the long wait for another for my .17 & .22. Down the road will pick up another for my long range 7mm.

You can use a can for an AR on a .22 as well. What with them being the same caliber and all

Ya I know and I have. I can also use it on my 22/250 but a .308 can makes it a little quieter . My .22 pistols just look funny with a huge can hanging off the front of them.

you can, but if you use a can that is designed for an AR on a .22LR have fun cleaning it.

Rimfire ammo is very dirty compared to regular centerfire and I've read a lot of reports that it will end up ruining your can.

.22lr won't "ruin" the can, but you're right in that extended use will make it dirtier faster. Still not too hard to clean them. As long as you're not using it primarily as a .22lr can you'll be fine.

And who doesn't shoot a lot of .22LR. that's the whole reason for having a .22, you can shoot a lot cheap. well you used to be able to.

But my other problem is, my pistols don't have bird cages on them.

I'd actually like to find a rimfire suppressor that will work on both .22LR and .17HMR.

Sold my last MG a couple years ago, there has been a better return on ARs over the last few months than NFAs. But the prices are getting a little better for all of us and availability of parts has started to come back around.

If you get a decent .22lr rimfire suppressor you can run .17HMR through it. It won't work as well because of the larger hole, but it will work.

Look into the SWR Spectre 2. I was thinking of a Gemtech but my dealer talked me into the SWR instead
