WK wheels and spacers

I know there are a lot of posts about WK wheel and tore combinations, but I have a quick question about the necessity for spacers. I have an '06 WK w/ 17" Moduflex wheels and plan on installing a 2" Rough Country lift w/ either 265/70 or 255/75 tires. Are wheel spacers absolutely necessary and what will I encounter w/o the use of spacers?

According to the RC website that is the recommended tire size w/o needing spacers.

With that being said I went with spacers to be safe, and give it the wider stance.
