WK Grille Guard/Winch Bumper Options
This thread is being started as a place to post all aftermarket options for WK bumpers, brush guards for sale
Please do not "Quote" this post as it is long and let's keep the thread bare and minimal, only showing bumper, grille guard, bull bar options in an individual post with all info, or review response to that post specifically.
So I have had a WK CRD for about 13 months now, and been doing a lot of Equipment readiness work.
Disassembly
Inspection
Cleaning
Lubricating
Reassembly
The plan is to use the WK as a tow vehicle and off-road explorer or Overland rig.
Done some basic mods, changed fluids, fought some Gremlins in the electronics system, and basically become very close to my WK.
I have been Looking at bumpers front and rear all along "since" I bought it, but not before. Had I checked before I likely would have held on and gone for a different rig. That being said I am now committed to the WK, and like every couple in counselling, "want to make it work"
This thread is being started as a place to post all aftermarket options for WK bumpers, brush guards for sale, good or bad, worthwhile, or not just as a long term growing (hopefully) list of options for the WK. I have checked most of these out myself, and looked into costs, shipping, and value.
Please post as much of the following info as possible:
Picture
Link to company that sells them
Front and rear
Price
Weight
If you have any of the bumpers listed, please feel free to give any reviews regarding performance, durability, usability, ease or difficulty of installation, trail usefulness, or trail shortcomings.
I will start by posting the common ones, both attainable and mythical. (Saguaro) Please post each bumper type in its own post.
Now that the WK is more than 10 years old, logic says companies should be making aftermarket bumpers for them, but I have personally contacted more than a few JK WJ bumper suppliers most of whom replied to me that there is no demand for WK winch bumpers and the WK is basically a soccer mom vehicle, and not a real Four Wheel Drive.
