My windows were froze shut. Today I got my drivers side open, now it won't go back up. Any suggestions will be welcome.

I'd say its from it being so cold. Let the temperature warm up a little and see what happens.

One of my co-workers just went out with me and I pushed the button for the window to go up, which you can hear the motor but it doesn't do anything and he pulled it up so we could close it. Now it won't go down either. Guess it's better up than down.

Yeah I don't know what to tell you now. You might of screwed it up actually messing around with it out in the cold, but who knows. Just wait until it gets a little warmer to go messing with it again.

The intials indicate a certain body type of jeep or model year. WK is from 2005 to 2008. XK is the Commander and so on and so forth. Is that the question you had or are you asking how they got those labels?

My son-in-law took my door apart. There was a chunk of plastic that appears to have broken off laying in the bottom of the door. It is sort of a half circle and looks like it was some kind of guide maybe? Any clue?

I'm thinking that I have a similar problem. Windows were stuck by frost, so I used the power to go up and down until they broke free. Worked on the driver's side front, but not the driver's side rear. The motor makes a strange noise now, and won't move the window more than 1/2" (it's warm now, so it's not the temp). I think I probably burned up the motor. Have to pull the door panel and take a look at it.

If you hear the motor and the window does not go up and down, it is off the tracks or the rollers are busted off.
The round thing you found on the bottom of the door is probably the roller.
Easiest way to describe how these work is think of a sissor jack that you jack you car up with. Put a roller on the top and place it on a track. When the sissor jack goes up, the roller moves down the track while raising the track up. Sometimes with a lot of wear, the roller will start to pop off the track, other times when forced with a good motor and too high a fuse (like a frozen wet window), the entire roller will break off.
Many cases the whole mechinasim must be replaced because the rollers are rivited on, but a home fix on some is to drill out the rivit and use a shower or screen door roller from the hardware store, which does not require taking the whole mechanism out.
I have replaced a couple of them in my lifetime, and the home fix is much more attractive than taking the whole thing out and replacing the sissor arms.
There is a temp fix to keep the window up. Push down on the switch until the motor stops then open the door and using both hands pull the window up by hand. Then roll the window all the way up with the switch. What usually happens is the sissors raise and lock the window up. BEWARE that the window can get knocked and fall down, so it is a temporary fix until you can get it fixed.
It can be an expensive and cold lessen to not roll your windows up and down until the car has warmed up and you used your ice scraper to clear them off. They are not made to clear ice and snow and will wear quickly or just plain break.

Well, I had a chance to pull off the door panel today, and I think I found the problem:
Cable broken - looks like I need to replace the window regulator!
