Wheel spacer size

Does anyone out there run wheel spacers because you like the way they look from a cosmetic standpoint?? running a 2.25 BB with 255/65/17, stock wheels, and 5/16" spacers to clear the uca bolt. im looking at either 1.75" or 2" hubcentric spacers but striclty because i love the wider stance look.. any ideas? pics of your rig with spacers that size??

love the way that looks!!! ive seen alot of 2" spacers while shopping around but ive never seen anyone run them... wondering if theres any negatives to going that size or im just the only one that likes the look of the wider stance..

Also if i dont have any issues with rubbing the pinch weld now will i be ok with any size spacers?

I will say that my 2 year old wheel bearings are about shot. Spacers of any size do put a higher stress on them, bigger equals more. Just something to think about. Where you are now, with that tire size, you probably wouldn't have any rubbing at the pinch weld. Bigger spacers, or bigger tires, it will become a problem. It's not very difficult to do the pinch weld mod though. I just cut mine with a Sawzall in between each one of the spot welds, then hammered them flat pretty easily with a two pound hammer. I then covered it with undercoating. The wheel well liner I heated up with a heat gun until it was soft and smashed it flat with a 2x4.
I tried to save a couple bucks on the spacers. I went to the part of the spidertrax website that sells spacers with blemishes. I figure I'm going to tear them up pretty good anyway, who cares if they don't look perfect from the get-go.

I run 1.25" spidertrax spacers. Made my 265s sit flush with the fender. Looks great.

I run 265/70/17 BFGs A/T. 2.25 OME full MD kit. Put on 1.5" spacers so it clears the bolt. Love the look, just wish i had gotten 33s that where thicker!

The wider you go, the more fender/PW clearance issues you'll have.

I'm running 1.25" and they're just about right to keep my 265 width tires on JK 18" wheels at the edge of the fenders.

I didn't know spidertrax made 1.25" spacers. I'm looking to go with 1.25. Did you have to trim your lugs on your jeep?

I have one pair of BORA and one pair of SpiderTrax. One or the other was listed for the WJ but it doesn't matter.

No lug trimming for me. I do not, however, recall if the lugs stick out past the spacers at all. My wheels have a large void there so it's of no concern.

I have 1 1/4" spacers and the lugs did not need to be trimmed. I almost believe you could use 1" spacers without trimming your lugs.

No trimming at all.

I think they're just marketed for JKs. Don't know why when there are multiple Jeeps that have the same bolt pattern.

I run 1" with 255/75 bfg ko2s and they do rub a tad at full lock. you do NOT need to trim the studs, I even went as far as ordering .75" bora spacers and they did NOT work as the OEM studs were too long. just some food for thought
