Speaking of wheels and tires, does anyone know what the biggest all terrain tire will fit on the stock 17" wheels, with the stock height?

New here, so just looking at older posts...

INTREPER, I was looking into the same thing today. Also want to retain my chrome 17".

Stock 245/65R17 = 29.5" O.D., 9.8" section width...

Safe upgrade is 275/60R17 = 30.0" O.D., 11.0" s.w. Only 1/4 inch added in height of tire but gain 1.2" width.

I'm looking at getting more wheel, less wheel well gap.
Thinking about 265/70R17 = 31.7" O.D., 10.7 s.w.
1.1" added to height vrs. o.e. Looking at the truck the only tight area is the front steering knuckles. About 1" space at top. May have to cut off the upper ball joint "hex" fitting pointing down. No big deal, but what about ABS? I ran 265's on my old GC with no problems.

Goodyear has the Wrangler SilentArmor in the 265 size. Much more agressive all terrain tread.

did you guys ever find a way to shut off the tpm system? i'm thinking about getting some 20's for my commander but i don't want the tire pressure alert to go off every minute.. i'm planning to leave the sensors in the original wheels for winter.
