wheel bearing noise-ish but not wheel bearing

this last week, i've had more road noise than usual, and what feels like a bit more rolling resistance than usual when just removing my foot from the accelerator pedal and letting the truck coast (07 CRD)
I jacked up the truck and checked both front wheels, but they feel tight, no usual wobble that would go along with a bad wheel bearing.
The tires are still the OEM goodyears 6 years old, and at the wear marks so i am thinking it could just be tire noise, and the extra rolling resistance is just in my head lol not sure
anything else that would cause more noise before i plunk down some cash for new tires?
