Hi Guys,
I was looking for some advice about some issues I'm having with my Grand Cherokee WK (55 plate in the UK).
I've had an oil leak for a while, it's apparent when I park the car up (you see a small puddle of oil each time), and when you look under the engine pan there are drips on of oil. A guy noticed it when I was getting my regular service (oil change etc).
I took it to a mechanic who I usually use, unfortunately he didn't have time to fix it. He stated it's probably a leak within the oil cooler (I've heard the orange O-Rings deteriorated over time). I have checked the turbo inlet, which is the newer black seal (as again opposed to the orange one), I just wondered if anyone has had any issues like this before and how they properly determined the issue and if possible how much it cost!
The other issue is the battery light came on the other day and now the battery is dying after around 6 miles of driving, I charge it up on the battery charger but it dies pretty soon after. It seems that perhaps it could be an alternator, but the battery seems to die very quickly (even if it were an alternator issue). Perhaps anyone may of had this issue before!
Thanks for your time,
James
