That sucks man

But what did I do, I got mad at my Jeep because for the past few days It would take about 5 or plus turns of the key to start and even then it would take forever! The ignition was changed now it might be the starter and that is NOT cheep

It could be the wire going to the starter. That was happening to me a while ago. Does it crank and not fire up or does it just and do nothing?

It cranks and fires up but it takes some time, my only worry is that it only happens when it sits for over 3 hours. (I made a thread about it)

Oh ok! Mine would take a few tries to even turn over, it would just make a single click like the starter did not have enough juice to turn. Ended up being a corroded wire at the starter. Once it was cleaned and caked with dielectric grease it was fine. Haven't had an issue since!

I got the wk as dirty as it's been since I got it. Road construction doesn't always have to be a bad thing By the time I thought of it it was too dark to get a picture.

However on the topic of not starting, I had a starting problem about a month ago, fixed itself, then it happened again today. Got underneath and wiggled the wires. Couldn't see a "yellow" one but the one that's not red has a loose connection. I wiggled it around and had the girlfriend try it. I wasn't expecting it to start so kinda jumped and she turned it off thinking something wasn't right then it wouldn't start again. A little more wiggling and I got it going again. On the to do list this weekend. Still have to do a search yet, hopefully can find a thread of how to fix it. All I can think of is cleaning it up, but I can just barely get 2 fingers to it to wiggle it much less clean it. Drive shaft have to be dropped for that?

Swapped the front diff fluid. ( holy crap was that over due. The fluid was black and burned.) also checked torque on the front end. Everything checked out. Really glad I can use my schools under ground parking as my shop all fluids on drivetrain are good to go. I'm ready for Winter.
