Yes it's a ton easier. The main reason you have to take the console out is to unplug and unscrew the 4wd selector. The screws are on the bottom of the shift module and face down so they're a pain to get to. Other than that it's really easy. If I can do it anybody can. If you find a cheap shift module go for it.

Washed my jeep today. Took a break from cleaning out my dads house.

So my Hids install that I thought went easily.
Well on way home today my passenger side wouldn't kick on. Got it fired up, and noticed my passenger side fog wasn't on. When I got home I began messing with the wires. And couldn't seem to get it straightened out. I ended up going back to stock lows, after some playing around with the passenger side bulb. Which seemed to be jammed in.
As for the fogs, I popped the fuse for them. I replaced fuse, and popped again.
Anyone have any ideas? No relays on the fogs, had none for the lows either. I will install relay for the lows when I get my replacement bulbs in. As for the fogs. Not sure why I'm popping the fuse just yet. Also out of that size fuse. So I'm fog-less for now.

Did a trans fluid and filter change. Only cost me parts, so it was $58.17. The old fluid was a little dark, but not too bad. Really easy to do on the NAG1 with only 6 bolts holding the pan on! Sure beats the 700 tiny bolts on the GM pans I usually work on! haha

Did you buy a junked shifter or the shifter plate itself?

It's the entire shifter that bolts to the floor. I just took the shift module off of the entire assembly and used that

The eBay item number for the one I bought is 121083815117 and the seller is ahmed211. It's listed as new and looked new to me. Been driving on it for a day and it works like a champ. Even if it is used the price of $125 sure beats $800 from the stealership. Just make sure you get the one with the 4wd selector if you have a 4wd but you don't need it if you have a 2wd model. If you need anymore info you can PM me. I was worried it wouldn't work but it's doing good so far.

Pics? Did you do the 6" and what parts did you end up using to get the extra lift?

Haha so true!

Anyways I flattened my pinch weld even more so the 285s would stop rubbing. Now I just get a little bit of rubbing in the fender liner but I can't tell where...
