I think I'll go with a ported box. I've used both and like both but I feel like you get better bass with a ported box. I listen to mostly rock and country though.

Ported boxes are for hip hop though. You get better accurate bass with a sealed box for rock.music.

Ya I know that's what everyone says but in an suv a sealed box just isn't as loud as a ported box. I agree that sealed boxes make for tighter bass, more precise sound. But it's harder to hear up front in an suv unless you spend a good amount on your subs and amp. I havent purchased a box yet so I may still go with a sealed box...

My dad and I both have ported boxes in our jeeps I think that they work good for all types of music personaly

I'm going to go sealed, but I'll be pushing 1500rms so I should be good. If I don't like it I could always build a ported. All my setups though I've always had ported, thought I might try the other.

Installed a Rola roof rack, plasti dipped all my jeep, 4x4, limited, etc emblems red and the grille and other chrome parts black. Pretty eventful weekend. I still have my wheel spacers and catch can to install. Aswell as figuring out why my check engine light is on. Possibly my o2 sensor.

Plasti dipped my chrome trim and Jeep badges a clear smoke. Will post pics in a couple days when I am home during the day.

I started today by adding some 275 70 r17 BFG km2 MTs.which eventually led me to have to do something else to my Jeep lol
