well got bored so decided to install a cone filter on my CRD, ordered a cheaper filter since this is a test run, relocated my sensor and got it all on it in about a half hour. I don't know why I ordered such a small filter but that's what I ended up with. It is approx. 6.5 inches tall, and 4.5 inches diameter at the largest part with a 3 inch outlet. Is it possible to fit an engine with too small of an intake? ha. It seems to be working fine but I think I will be taking it off because it is pretty loud....not sure if this it because it is a small filter or if that is how loud it would be with any filter. Since its winter I should still be getting plenty of cool air, especially on the highway. Had to give it a try!

It wasn't today, but Monday I got my Superchips Flashpaq and used it to get my 4low working again(see n23 recall thread for details). I also put the 87 octane tune on, and worked on the rev limiter and transmission programming a bit. Can definitely feel a little more power under the hood, and the minor shifting issues I was having have been resolved. Now to change the oil, and give both the inside and out a good cleaning.

Over the holiday weekend, I got the Aspen Creek hood mounts and switch panel put on along with getting the Rigid Dually D2's wired up. It's crazy the amount of light these things put out for their size. They definitely have me wanting a LED bar now!

I recently installed a set of Seward Offroad Twin T-2 6 LED driving lights, very happy with them.

I also just took it into the dealer for an oil change, and to investigate a CEL. C140F T-Case code (ugh). Already had the N23 recall done...yay.

Had the t-case fluid done while I was there, was due and it was up on a hoist already. Service Manager was kool, he knew the original owner, and they had every single service and maintenance done at the same dealership that they bought it from and I bought it from. He printed off the list, so now I have a complete service history and am dealing with the same guy who did the work (including every oil change) since new.

Sadly the PO just died a few months ago, but he was still driving and active at 94! I also heard that recently he had taken it for a trip to Mexico in the WK with his wife...at 93. WTF? Kind of kool to hear about the previous owner, sounds like a neat dude.

Oh and still pondering when I will get around to installing the RC lift I have in the box in my garage, been sitting there for 8 months.

Edit. Oh and I too just hit the 75,000 mark. Only in KM not Miles... so yeah, still a baby even for a 2005!
