The shipping quote I got from the site is $320.72 fedex ground. If they shipped usps, it would likely be a whole lot cheaper since fedex and ups charge crazy stupid amounts for alaska shipping.

Oh I have had them off before, just never thought of painting them. But thanks for the heads up...I've broken enough Chrysler plastic parts over the years!

I'm in the middle of another cross country trip, and I'm hitting 200,000 miles this week. I have an auto shop in the family, so I turned over the keys and told my cousin I want get another 100k miles out of it.
  • Reman front driveshaft (the grinding was driving us NUTS on the way out)
  • New shocks
  • Oil change with Engine Renew
  • New spark plugs, boots and coil packs
  • New liftgate shocks (one broke halfway across the country)
  • Acid wash and/or polish the wheels (not done)
  • New water pump (it was seeping)
My cousin's son called to say that removing one of the shocks was easily one of the toughest jobs he's ever had to do. Everything is so corroded due to the weather in the Northeast and the salt treatment. I am not going to recognize the ride when I get back in it! We're taking it to Yosemite next week for a "shakedown test". Hopefully I'll get a few MPG back on it. I commute 750 miles/wk and it's been a while since I've hit 20 MPG during my commute.

UPDATE 11/13

I wrapped up the first half of my trip visiting family and started to head up from Southern Cal to Yosemite country. Was coming down the Grapevine when the WK threw a P2317, bad coil #6. I thought it was weird that I was getting 21 MPG on what appeared to be original spark plugs, boots and coil packs but only 18 with the whole firing chain replaced. It was stalling when coasting down a mountain in neutral. Turned around and headed back south. It stalled again when I was just navigating into a parking spot in a lot. I have 8 new coils going in this morning and some kind of stall arrestor. Now I just want it to run the way that it did with 200,000 miles on the spark plugs We'll get there. We need to. I still have to drive across the country! It just sucks that I'm now losing days in National Parks.

What wires did you splice the leds into for the trunk?

From Omelet's thread

LED Cargo Lighting

i just did mine the other day need to get pics this week, I used panels rather then strip lights

The lights are wired to the tailgate light.

In other words I got around to painting my new to me JBA UCAs. I decided to try yellow to match my OME shocks. I install everything tomorrow!

Finally installing the new Kenwood unit! Goodbye REC, you piece of $h!t.

Pix to follow. No they aren't, as JF doesn't allow enough mb's.

My forum buddies will just have to take my word for it.
