Hemily Gc--

Take a look at the "Wilson Trucker" antenna. It should well outperform the rubber duckie you've got there. It's actually 2 antennas, 1800 and 900.

Downside, it looks VERY space-cadety.

Would this be the one your talking about? It looks like something you would take spearfishing! Have you had any experience with this antenna?? Can you tell a noticeable difference in range??

That's the one you want, just as pictured. I bought the model with the (removable) extension wand, which doesn't really add anything unless your mount point is below roof level.

Regarding performance, I have a couple of 4-ft carrier grade dipole omnis that I use camping, a 2.4 and an 1800. I'm close to leaving those at home because the trucker works so well, and is much smaller. I'm guessing the reason is the built-in Ground Plane on the Wilson Trucker, which helps give it its Buck Rogers look. Don't be surprised if your neighbors call Homeland Security.

The A/C condenser is about $180 what kills the price is freon, recharging, and about 3 or so hours of labor.

Just measured hub to fender. Got ~22.5/22.7 up front and ~23/23.2 in the rear. Clearing the 285's really well, however the tires ALMOST rub on the pinchweld (even with the mod) on full lock.

I did the cheat method. If i had taken the whole dash out I would of had so many screws left over. All in all it took me about 5 hours but I was working with limited tools (most of my tools are at my parents house because I recently moved into an apartment). If i was to do it again it with the right tools it would only take an hour and a half with proper tools.

Ok cool. I work at a boat repair shop so I'll have all the tools I'll need with me. How hard was it to get to the other side(drivers side) of the heater core?

FINALLY had a day where I could drop my rig off to get everything put together. kind of sounds like I'm glad I didn't attempt to do the install myself. I dropped it off about 8am and they finished up working on it around 5pm.

I know it looks pretty silly with the tires I have on there now. For whatever reason I've had the hardest time deciding on wheels/tires. I really really like the way duratracs look, so one option is duratracs on the wheels I currently have. The other option is (255/70R18):

The thing I like about those wheels is that you really don't see them on too many WK's. Bad thing is they are 18's, so fewer/more expensive tire options.

what do you guys think?
