Road salt. Something we dread every year. Makes all the cars on the road look disgustingly dirty and rusts the undercarriage.

I was being ironic, I am from Maine and lived in Pennsylvania for a spell so I know about the salt. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why people choose to live in these areas when places like Arizona, Texas and Florida exist.

Hahah whoops. Even in northern VA we have it bad. I can't imagine how pristine the undercarriage of cars down there are.

I could take a photo of the undercarriage of my '05, but it would just depress you.

Replace "ironic" with sarcastic, please.

I think the only thing keeping me in the midwest is family and friends. Otherwise I would have moved out west years ago. Boy do I hate the winter.

As promised... Did the install yesterday, took a bit longer than I thought it would, mostly because I added my steering wheel control module, my phone module, and actually tapped into my ebrake wire. Pioneer app 3 radio!

Put that exact radio in my friends truck Friday with a rear view. I'm wanting one but will have to get another dash piece I believe?

I'd like a parts list of what is needed for the install. I am convinced that a new head unit, not factory brand, would be the best route to go.

Just get on amazon and price match everything at best buy... I saved about $200 that way.

It all depends on what add-ons you are wanting to put in... If you don't have a nav in the vehicle already you will need the stock nav bezel and the metra single/double din adapter kit. I chose to put the Axxess ASWC-1 in to get my steering wheel controls back, the pioneer cable kit for android, and if you still have a stock radio/nav unit in the vehicle you will need a wire harness adapter (basically just an add in wire harness that turns our single cable into a universal wire harness). Not to mention about 30 splices, about 5 wire taps, and crimpers (or pliers), wire cutters, and possibly some tape. I believe that's about it!... Oh and a lot of patience and time, but it was worth saving the $120 that bestbuy was going to charge.
