Took it in for the x-case recall. 10 minutes, no wait. Almost ordered the new Summit diesel but came to my senses.

Changed the electrical portion of the ignition switch.

Had no curative effects on my busted REC "entertainment" system.

Installing an aftermarket radio/DVD player and I need to find the ebrake power wire... Anyone know what color it is?

Just ground the ebrake wire. That way you can watch DVDs while driving, and do other dangerous things. We used to charge people $50 when I worked at best buy to do that

For future reference... It is a green wire with a white stripe for the emergency brake wire color

On another note... Just installed the new pioneer appradio 3, seems to be working well. But I'm waiting till I get a new phone next month to use the phone feature. I also haven't figured out how to get my steering wheel control module to work, but I'll figure it out. And for those that say it didn't happen unless there are pics, I'll be sure to post a couple tomorrow.

Hmmm... The manual said to splice it in with the ebrake power wire. Is that just something they say so u don't use it illegally?

Second annual spa day yesterday. Meguiar's Purple, Meguiar's clay bar kit, Turtle Wax Black Box 2-stage kit for black cars, Invisible Glass. I don't bother with the body plastic or the wheels or tires. I drive 750 miles a week, and just want to protect the painted metal before the bad weather months arrive.

Yes. I once used a navi conversion kit from AVElectronic. I screwed up when guessing the polarity that the ebrake line was looking for, and called them to find out why the video never came off blue screen. The guy yelled at me for trying to do it myself and that he wouldn't cover any damage I may have done. I just grounded it and it worked fine for years. They make kits that insert between the navi controllers and screens to add A/V inputs to factory nav. I used a kit that also included an analog TV tuner, and even used a coupon converter to convert it to digital TV when it was time. Reception was terrible even 25 miles away.

Made a cheap plate to mount my switches to for now the plan is to move them to the roof with some contura style rocker switches. But this will have to do for now with some cheap auto part store switches.

Also installed my Cree 7 watt reverse lights which was a huge improvement!!
