Well, I decided to try something that as far as I can tell, hasn't been done yet. Or at least I can't find anyone that has done it... I bought some Putco stainless steel fender trim for the WK. However, I'm sure as hell not leaving them stainless. I plan on scuffing and hitting them with bedliner. I'm thinking they may be an effective stopgap for rock chip protection until Bushwacker can get us a set of real flares. I have to drive on a lot of gravel roads and the edges my wheel well openings are taking a beating. They should be here Friday and I'll install them this weekend. There will certainly be pics of the results.

Did you try spraying the plasti-dip with goo-gone? Cause i once accidentally sprayed some on my grill and the plasti-dip basically wiped right off

Cut out the finger pieces and put mesh behind my 08 WK grill and added mesh in the area under the license plate! Next up will be some grill lighting. Will post pics tomorrow

Yeah, me too. As near as I can tell, there isn't a single picture of the WK fender trim on the entire internet, stainless or otherwise. For all I know, I may have bought the first set ever, haha. If there are pictures out there and someone finds them, then kudos. They've got more patience or luck in searching than I had.

Went to Harbor Freight and bought a hand riveter, heat gun, and assorted rivets in preparation for the front pinch weld mod that drastically needs to be done this weekend. I cringe every time I hear those tires-a-rubbin'

Oh, nice find. No mention of the brand of trim though as it appears it was on the WK when he bought it. It's a little hard to tell, but that may be just a straight up universal trim that was installed really well. I guess I'll see what I get on Friday and take it from there.

I'm baffled by it. It was on when I bought the jeep (last payment going out this month too btw) and I assumed it was standard and the rest of you-all had removed it. Looking around I haven't seen a single other WK with it. It's held on with what looks like factory style plastic rivets.

One other thing that was on the jeep when I got it was a red pinstripe to match the red paint on the brake calipers. That peeled right off.

If you want to hurt my feelings, just accuse me of adding chrome to one of my vehicles.

We've all pumped tons of $$$ into our Jeeps to make them unique.

Mainsail may be the only one to truly accomplish it, and accidently!!
