Got brave and let my 11 year old son drive it. I let him drove it about 5 miles on gravel. He did a good job. He really wants it when he turns 16.

Broke an exhaust bolt trying to replace a broken exhaust ground strap, that ****er was on there lol It's ok though because my mechanic buddy is going to put a torch to the rest of the bolt and air hammer it out.

Drove 1200 km. Got my best mileage yet, 9.8l/100km (hand calculated) over a 500 km stint. And that was still going over the limit by 15 kmh. I LOVE the ECO tune!

Took a drive up to the sand dunes yesterday and my TPMS light came on. I guess that's one thing I didn't really think of when I threw these BFG Mud terrains on...After some searching here on the forums, it looks like I'll have to either get new sensors or take sensors out of my old wheels. GRRR!

If you use the sensors out of the old wheels, make sure you get new seals for them. They are like $6-$8 per seal but people have omitted this step and have had to later fix it. If you buy new sensors, probably gotta buy the seals anyways. Most tire shops have them.

Finally got my headlights installed. Bought new ones, tore apart a couple weeks ago, painted over the weekend and put them in today. Could have been a 1-2 day project was strung out over a month.

Before

Finished

Thanks, I think it turned out pretty well. I bought new ones b/c I had a crack in my drivers side and figured I'd just do both.

Thanks man, waiting to pull the trigger on lift/tires/wheels and a dual action polisher . I've been through the whole dirty jeep thing, i'll still get a little silly but right now the paint restoration is top priority.

Had problems with my TCM, namely P0700 and the whole [P][R][N][D] thing. Got some electrical contact cleaner from a computer parts supply store, and went to town ripping into the centre console. Pretty straight forward taking it apart and cleaning the contact strips, assembly was easy enough as I was patient and not in a rush. Hopefully the problem doesn't come back for another 100 000 k!

I had my Wk in the dealer for an oil change last week and asked about the recall. They told me that I was indeed part of the recall, but that they had no parts. No worries.

I got my first recall letter yesterday. Waiting on the follow up recall letter. Says the dealers don't have the software/parts yet.

Gonna check on some weathertech mats for the WK today
