WTH you say? My Android tablet is USB host mode capable when plugged into it's dock. Since the dock is gutted and sitting behind the dash, I decided to run a cable to someplace more accessible. Although I've been working on other projects like Jeep-Core, I'll still try and get an install log up soon.
Ahhhhhh! My nexus 7 in dash runs on USB OTG cable through a DAC and splitter to where I can plug a thumb drive in now, even USB tether my internet to it with the new ROM update, I need to do this.

Yeah, it's very handy now. I've also got an additional cable that I ran to the center console. I can plug in either place.

Did you get a specific brand on the USB extension? Because I know some travel data at different speeds.

Took it in for my 70,000km service today - a $1620 hit, but she still looks and runs like new. They offered me retail value on a trade for an upgrade, its a good thing there wasn't a '14 WK2 Diesel in the showroom or I would be suffering a touch of buyer's remorse right now

Nope. It was just a generic extension cable I picked up from Amazon.

Dropped her off at the dealership for some transmission issues. Apparently they got some P07 something code that shows a problem with the gears. They're bringing it to the transmission specialist in the morning. (Thank god for extended warranty!) also picked up a new tow strap along with a new soldering gun, heat shrink, and inline fuse gettin ready to install some rock lights!

Took George in for a fuel system cleaning, $239. While in the check in lane, the brake system let out a warning, $93 for a bad pedal switch. Nothing they tried fixed the damn Uconnect. Looks like a new head unit, so I will be saving for the mygig unit.
George is a silver bullet now! Money well spent!

The plugs helped a bunch! Throttle response, idling, and mpg

your gonna love them. Mine are still primed in Por 15 ( paint over rust ) They are really neat but starting to fade and rust in some areas but some cleaning up with the grinder or sand blaster and some Rustolum x2 paint will get the job done one day.

It probably still had the original plugs in it! How long have you owned it, recent purchase?

Nice! Every time you diesel guys talk about mods I envy your engine
Lots of guys have wrapped the trim piece with CF or other vinyl. If you do a good job it looks nice.

I've only owned it since March. Got it with 85,000 miles. Must have been original plugs. Hardly anything left. About to start ordering a lift kit and bigger tires next.
