Took off the wheel guards and like someone else said it looks lifted now. Wish I took them off three years ago. There is marks however.

Can someone explain what these wheel guards are? And what removing them does or looks like. Thanks

Also quick question if someone could help me out. I want to paint or plasti dip my rims, is it safe to remove the wheels with the stock jack and wrenches it comes with or is that a bad idea. Would I need to use a torque wrench?

Just bought a 2007 Commander. Just got it home yesterday. Goes quite nice with our 1997 TJ, 1996 XJ, 2003 Grand Cherokee, and the 1967 J2000.

Ya that was me. I have the marks too. Too bad MOPAR never thought of the simple idea of applying adehsive tape to the paint before installing the guards, like other manufacturers do. I am confident the marks will buff right out though.

Here you go... After removal, a faint light line was left of the rearmost horizontal line of each guard. Nothing major that a dab of wax and some elbow grease wouldn't eradicate

Bro don't keep buying them. If you flex your gonna keep ripping then off. And thats a secondary seal, you still have the main door seal. Just go to oreilly's and get some rubber weather stripping and make one yourself. Cost $14 for a roll.

Ya thats them. At the MOPAR accessories store they are referred to as Splash Guards.

They greatly diminish your ground clearance. I tore one off once while crawling through knee-deep snow.
