Aftermarket key shell that is a flip design uses the original remote guts. The replacement remotes I purchased are of different design from the factory one I have the remote link above is what I purchased the buttons are smaller & the battery is held in the case rather then clipped to the circuit board.

Found out this morning how capable these jeeps are...
We work midnights, so it wasn't morning for us. It was about 6-7am

Took it mudding for the first time. I have no lift, and stock tire size.
My brother has an 11' JK with no lift, but a nice 10,000lb winch. So I wasn't too worried.

I didn't go through anything crazy, because I know I have no lift and I don't have tires for that. But I am very proud of her, she actually help up with the JK for a while. I did bottom out a few times, but very slowly and it was all soft mud, its been raining for 3 days straight pretty much.

My brother also admitted that he was impressed with how well my jeep handled the situation, even keeping up with his JK most of the way. Until we hit a part that had a huge mud hole, and I stopped and just watched him. I knew I wouldn't get through, not even worth the chance. He was almost up to his fenders.

I did get scared after we left, I felt like something was sliding/grinding while driving. When we got to the car wash I realized it was all the mud crammed in my front brakes. I had to pressure wash the thing 3 times to get all the mud out. Now my plasti-dip is starting to peel off the edges. So Im gonna have to re-do that.

Also, I got my 3rd brake light vinyl cover in the mail a couple days ago. I thought it was pretty cool and only $12 (Those aren't air bubbles, its because there brake light has popped out text on them, like a part number)

Drove home after a week in Daytona Beach. The gas mileage was great. I normally get 300 miles out of a tank during my weekly commute from the Trenton, NJ area to Boston's Metro West via a 294 mile route. On this Florida trip, I was getting 430 miles out of a tank! I was very pleased.

Working at home this week so I get to put the fleet through a day at the spa. Gotta crack out the random orbital buffer. Do I need to do the 3M Paint Restoration Kit again if I just ran the gauntlet last September? Or is that a once a year thing? I'm planning to wet sand this time, so I'm guessing I will need to apply all three stages.

Anyone use this to lift their Jeep? I know nothing about Jeeps so bare with me. $150 for a 2in. seems very cheap.
That's the lift I have on mine right now. It does well, but I'll be upgrading to the SL when I get back from deployment.
