Lifted my WK on jacks and found that my HD UCA's are toasted! I need to replace the spherical ball joint, I have insane play and the WK feels like it has the front wheels coming off!!

Good news, I dragged raced my Jeep against a lifted Silverado tonight. Bad news, I had to tell him at the next light that I was actually trying to race him.....

Pretty hard to do without a garage, I have to drop the strut assembly just to get the UCA bolts out so I can press out the damaged joints and to drill more holes in the urethane to stop the squeaks. At 112 heat index... nuff' said! lol

So I am assuming this is because you never flipped the bolts so they pull out away from the strut instead of in. You should do so this next time. Then you don't have to pull the strut to get the UCA out!
I understand about the heat though. I hate the heat!

That's my plan, I should have done that the first time! I hope to get on this when I head to Chicago and work in the garage.

Got rid of the 60k factory fortera's and threw on some 255/70/17 Firestone Destination A/T.
Got them for $670 after tax and installation with my $75 off coupon! Couldn't be happier. It feels so firm, a ton of roll in the steering is gone, and it actually has nice feedback when I try to steer. They are so quiet also!

Since I moved from the country I hadn't really had a place to wash the Jeep without spending 20 bucks at a car wash so it stayed dirty. Today that ended. Now, don't judge me... But I saw some delightful young highschool girls holding up car wash signs. Yeah... I got my car washed today. (And yes they missed a lot of spots)
