That clay bar works pretty good. Make sure you give it a good coat of wax when you're done. ( And a buffer with some polish before the wax might help out with all those pinstripes.)

Sorry about you're stuff. There's nothing worse then a thief.

But you think he's been in your place before?? Keep your eye out for a slug w/ poison ivy. I'd be looking at everybody who ever passed through the doors.

I guess I forgot to mention the fact that I did wax the half of the Jeep that I clay bared! It is shinny!!! I am not too worried about the scratches as long as they don't go through the clear, which they haven't yet. I just want to start taking better care of the paint, so I figured the clay bar and wax would help. Doing the bar this morning, I actually noticed that there was metal dust stuck to my hood, probably from my winch project. Well it's not there anymore!

Honestly I am not sure! I wasn't paying attention. If I had to guess, an hour maybe. I will try to get a decent pic up later.

Stanton - Looks good man!!! Seems like the PIAA's really set it off. And yea I think a 4xG front skid would bring it all together nicely.

Omelet - if the scratches are really bad, you could probably do some very light wet sanding, if you wanted to go that far. BUt a clay bar and wax goes a looooonnnggg way! Can't wait to see it looking purdy.

decided to put my spare back underneath. what a pin in the ***!! took the hitch off so it would fit and those 4 bolts kicked my butt. should've just hooked up the compressor and taken them out with the impact gun. I dont see how that hitch will ever fit with that tire under there. would be nice if they made something like on the old xj where the spare fit in the hatch standing up

No problem bud! They work great for saving space. As you can see I also trimmed about a .25" off the back of the hitch.

I added new rear shocks and quick disconnects. I used Rancho 5010 which are 26.30" extended length and 15.87" compressed. They are made for a 1999 Dodge Durango 4x4 with a 3" lift. I had to make top bushings 5/8" OD x 12mm ID x 1-7/8" long. The bottom I could use one of the bushings that come with the shocks.
With the JKS 2001 quick disconnects they are about the prefect extended length for a 2" lift spacer and the standard brake line locations.
