Hey what is everyone doing with the plastic "skid plate" that covers the oil pan? I took mine off to change the oil and can't find a reason to put it back.

The wife's CRD doesn't get wheeled so I never reinstalled hers after changing her oil. Next oil change I'm installing a fumoto drain valve with a nipple for a hose and will reinstall the "skid plate" since I won't need to remove it for oil changes.

I think its best to have a 'real' skid plat when you install the fumoto drain valve, Just in case it ever gets hit, you don't lose all your oil.

If I took it off road I'd have a real skid plate but I'm not worried about it getting hit since the plug is on the back side of the pan on the Crd, and there are a couple other things hanging down lower than the oil pan.

Finished my pinch weld mod (still have a little rubbing) and I aligned it enough to test drive. I need to clearance my exhaust a little more and recheck all the bolts but so far I'm loving the SuperLift! Here are a few pics from its first time out after the install.

Hey guys! This is my first post in this subforum. I've driven a 1998 TJ for the past 10 years, and needed a different daily driver. Enter my 2007 Laredo 4.7. It's loaded with pretty much everything, but I've not been happy with my the stock audio options. It's got the RAQ radio which lacks auxiliary input. Coming from a custom android tablet install in my TJ, I was having a little trouble coping. So, this weekend I laid the groundwork for a tablet install in the WK. I also added a little carbon fiber vinyl to dress up the dash while I had things apart. I'll post a few pics here, but will start a proper thread dedicated to the process when I have a little more time.

Here is the WK sharing it's new home with the TJ.

Lastly, a pic of the tablet install in the TJ.

I wasn't the biggest fan of those headlights but with the superlift, tires, and winch... The jeep LOOKS AWESOME!! Nice job!

I lost the radio in the TJ, but didn't miss it there. I'm actually going to keep the radio in the WK. Not that I'll use it much, but it will be nice to keep the steering wheel controls. I've got a great idea for integrating without permanent damage or significant changes to the OEM setup.

No, he said its an android pad, all you need to do is download an FM tuner app and you can get any radio station in the world...much better the a stock radio in which you only get local stations. No to mention it will hold your entire music library and Pandora Radio as well. N

You can get an "Isimple" set up off Amazon for $80. It gives you an Ipod connection as well as an Aux RCA port. With the Ipod you can skip through songs and playlists from the steering wheel. I don't know if it would work the same with an Ipad though.
