I might just DO IT! Since mines black. I could do it with duplicolor spray on just fine right? If so I'll pick up a can or 2 more and start it within a couple days. It would also cover up all the trail rash I have.

What kind of dremel and wheel/disc did you use? I've been waiting to borrow my brother in laws angle grinder but if you got it down with a dremel then I can just use mine.

After running into problems doing the rear diff the other day, I finished the front diff and transfer case today.

The skids are pretty easy to take off once you figure out what you need. 13mm and 16mm deep socket

Fitting the 14mm hex bit into the fill plug for the transfer case is by far the most annoying part... Well that and how bad gear lube smells.

Dremel 4000 on the highest speed with EZ lock metal cutting discs. It took me about 2 1/2 discs and a majority of the hour it took me to get the excess of the hitch off. Just be patient

Buy a bunch of 180 grit and sand like you wouldn't believe.

I cut all 4 nuts off the back and all the excess of the hitch on the back up to less than 1/8" away from the weld. I'm going to use carriage bolts to replace the factory bolts like Omelet did.
