Winch is on, synthetic rope is installed, and everything works. Pretty excited!

I've got a new bumper cover and a few other goodies on the way, Gonna trim it and space my fairlead so it isn't binging the cover, but for now this works!

Considering its been a 3 month project and it's finally DONE... I'm pretty happy! I was able to winch the WK up the drive to spool the new rope, no trouble at all, and the in cabin plug for the winch controller is great!

I mounted the fairlead outside of the bumper cover (rather than cutting the entire fairlead slot) but I need a small spacer and longer bolts to keep the bumper from being twisted out of place, I'm also going to weld the nuts on the back side to avoid wrenching in a tight spot. Overall, I must say your design specs were spot on and I can't thank you enough for all the help/advice!

Now if all of my other boxes would just show up!

Haha awesome! Next time I pull my bumper off I will probably weld the nuts too. I need to replace the allen head bolts that came with my fairlead because they are rusting. I might end up swapping the fairlead out for a Viking one too and save this one for the rear I am just glad some guys are starting to use my design and get some joy out of it

Last night I swapped out my catback for the Magnaflow catback. Sounds great on the 4.7!

Bought it (Ok, it was a month ago, but just getting around to joining JF and getting photobucket going). 2008 Limited 4.7L QTII with 76K on the clock. Steel Blue Metalic color.

Already did the door lock mod, but since 90% of guys here have done this I won't bother you with pics. First mods will probably to get as much power and efficiency out of the motor as possible, although that may be a bit interesting. I’m a little disappointed with the aftermarket support for the 08+ 4.7L motors compared with the HEMI or even earlier 4.7L. I will probably go with a K&N CAI, Superchips, BT catch can, etc. After the winter the goal will be to turn it into something that looks trail worthy instead of a soccer mom minivan alternative. Only difficult part with that is my wife is 4’11” and already has to half jump into the GC, and convincing her to let me lift it could be a fun discussion .

I've been playing with the HDR pic settings al-la Omelet so here we go.

Pic taken with "Camera+" app for iPhone. Edited with Clarity function under Scenes setting, and HDR under Special Effects.
