i like the closed box and overall fit and finish of the volant...also found a really good deal on it that i couldn't pass up

Yep all the others are just shields and they usually do not have the filter sealed off from the rest of the engine compartment carry well. You can find the Volant for a great price sometimes so it's a great deal.

thanks everybody...i cleaned the TB while i had the intake off and holy crap was it dirty...i don't think the previous owners ever cleaned it in 80k miles

not yet, i'm thinking about it now though...i have a billet prototype catch can just like yours for my G8 though and like it

Just cleaned my TB. Was dirty but not horrible. quick question, Do I need to disconnect the battery to let anything reset before I start the engine, or am i just good to go?

i disconnected mine bc the intake installation instructions said to do so and i cleaned it before reconnecting the battery
