The link Buda provided gives you most of the info about the LEDs and the wiring. The cargo light upgrade is very easy. The wire harness for the rear hatch is right under the vent molding that I mounted the lights to. The positive wire is red with a white stripe and the negative is yellow with orange stripe.

Got the LED's ordered. Does the molding just pry off? Are you tapping into the factory wiring? I was thinking about installing a lighted rocker switch in the cargo area so I can turn it on or off when I'm actually in that area.

Yes there are 4 clips that you have to pry off. It doesn't require much force and they are reusable. I just tapped into the factory wiring, but I do plan on running a switch so I can turn them off if I want. I didn't want to take the time to do that just yet

I like the one on the bottom. I've used them a few times, and have on installed in my Jeep right now. I have one with a blue led laying around somewhere.

I'm not positive, but I think it might have been a 1/2". I'll have to check when I get home.

Go the lower one. I use a 20mm which is a little larger than 3/4". This means I havent got to worry about the light turning off till i want it to!

SWEET! That's exactly what I was thinking. Come to think of it, I don't think I have an outlet in my cargo area. Would there be an existing plug-in in a wiring harness somewhere under that panel I could take power from?
