This past weekend I scored a Rigid Industries 20" light bar off craigslist. I have been wanting one for some time now and I have been curious to know if I could get one to easily fit inside of the 4xGuard Matrix. Before I did my hidden winch I figured I could fit it just underneath the crossbar (where my fairlead is now). Obviously that wouldn't work now! So my next thought was to modify the crossbar by cutting out enough space to sink the light inside of it. After measuring I realized that it was going to be a very tight fit! And now I am glad I didn't shorten the crossbar after my winch plate build to make more fairlead room like I have been think. Well without any more delay, here she is...
As I said above, it is a very tight fit! I didn't want to sacrifice my approach angle by extending the Matrix out away from the bumper anymore than it already was. So the back of the light bar it touching the bumper cover. The front of the light stick out slightly as well. I originally wanted it flush with the crossbar because I thought it would look better, but because of room I made it stick out slightly. Though this does make it possible to snap a cover or filter over the lights. If it was flush I would have had to cut the crossbar hole a little wider to fit a cover on. So in the end I am happy with it! I am still not sure if the front of my Jeep is starting to get a little too visually crowded?

Ordered some Monroe load leveling shocks (size larger than oem).
I spent the day babysitting for my girlfriends 4 neices. (Kinda fun to get volunteered to babysit a 5, 4, 2, 1 year old at 10am an hour away after working 13 hours until 3am. And I'm expected to be awake enough for my 21st celebration tonight...) I did get to draw "my jeep" though. Some slight modifications may have been made in the drawing.
