Volant 6.1 CAI on 5.7 Questions

So I just got my Volant CAI and began the process of installing it...with some difficulties. So questions for those of you have installed this before:

1) Were you able to run the coolant overflow reservoir hose under air duct?Should I be worried that at how tight it is once its run over the duct?

2) I live in the midwest and it rains/snows a lot, any cause for concern that I can't get the factory scoop to install into the Volant box? It seems the opening is at the perfect place for raid spray to saturate the filter.

Feel like an idiot asking these questions, but figured I'd gather advice from those that have done this.

K&N makes a water resistant sleeve that goes over the filter. I've got one on mine. They are all over on ebay. You just need the size of your air filter.
