Unleaded Gas Higher than Diesel Right Now

Gas prices have gone up steadily the past month so that regular unleaded is now more expensive than diesel #2. This is when having a diesel pays even more back as not only do we get at least 30% better mpg we now are paying less for fuel.

My oil changes are every 12k miles and I use Luqui Moly Long Time Synthetic oil 229.51 spec ($50 for 10 liters shipped - takes 9.5 liters). Wix filters cost $12 at O'Reilly auto parts.

DPF has not yet been cleaned or replaced so $0 (I know of very few DPFs that have needed replacement yet). I plan on deleting it and getting an ECU tune (already have the DPF delete pipe sitting on the shelf).

I have 99k miles on the diesel WK now and have not replaced a glow plug yet. But if I have to they cost $20 each and I will only have 6 to replace. So $0 thus far.

contrary to popular belief, a normal human can piss neither diesel nor gasoline, no matter how hard they might try.

now methane - that's another matter altogether!

I'm just happy this is the first time diesel has cost less than regular unleaded since I bought my CRD. Last summer it went below premium which I was ok with. I know that in the winter diesel costs more b/c its use as a heating oil and winter blend adds more cost.

Diesel was always cheaper than gasoline until I bought my first diesel in 2004. Soon after, diesel surpassed gasoline in price and I take full responsibility; its my fault. Sorry.

B5 is 3.66 this morning in S Austin. Same station is selling PUG for 3.56. It's the lowest price I've seen since last fall

I've noticed recently that diesel prices at almost every station I drive by are right around $4.08/gal +- 2 cents while 87 octane is anywhere from $4.03 to $4.16 at the same stations.
